About Your Leadership Development
and Resilience Training Coach
My Story
Several years ago, when driving home from another hard day at work, I told myself, just hold on for another 15-20 years. Then you can retire from your corporate job, move to Ireland, eat all the potatoes, and everything will be ok. I hoped that time would hurry past… and that I would survive the wait.
As that thought came to me, I felt an immense sense of grief. I felt trapped and exhausted. I was on a high-speed train to burn out. I was wishing away my most precious gift, time, and it was the most unkind thing I could possibly do to myself.
As a leader in corporate America, I’d been trained to coach others to their potential (CEP from Human Capital InstituteI), I learned how to manage projects and analyze processes (CPM from PMLG), I was dynamite with a spreadsheet. But I never learned how to manage my energy, make friends with my nervous system, or build resilience that would help me balance the yucks and yays of my life.
I went on a journey to learn new tools and ended up building a whole new outlook and passion in life. I became a Reiki Master which helped me find peace in being present. I was certified in Integral Breath Therapy, where I learned how to process trauma and let go of limiting beliefs. I was trained in The Shipp Method™ of nervous system regulation and trauma recovery where I learned that gentle transformation is the most powerful transformation of all.
I learned how to be the well-regulated leader in the room. I learned how to coach to potential while ensuring a safe environment for the people I worked with. I built the confidence to stand up to difficult things, and the agility to let go of things that didn’t matter.
My creativity, my effectiveness and my happiness grew by leaps and bounds.
And then I built Resilient Spark Coaching.
Resilient Spark Coaching offers a transformative journey to unlock leadership potential, foster resilience, and cultivate a positive mindset.
A Resilient Spark
I believe every one of us is endowed with a spark of the divine when we come into this world, a piece of the sacred that resides within us. It connects us to the universe and to each other.
Sometimes, through disappointments and difficulties, we can forget about that spark, or think we aren’t worthy of it. I promise, we are.
Resilience is a muscle that helps us to remember our inherent worthiness even in moments of difficulty. It keeps that ember of hope burning as you navigate the path you are on, and the path you choose going forward. It helps you to tolerate trials and fully experience joys.
It does not happen by accident.
